Sarmistha Kumari Sethi Biography

Sarmistha Kumari Sethi was born to Madan Mohan Sethi and Urmila Sethi on 4th February 1974. She married Rabindra Kumar Sethy in 2001 and was blessed with a son with him.
She was elected to the 17th Lok Sabha from the Jajpur constituency in Odisha as a Biju Janata Dal candidate (BJD). She is even the National Spokesperson of the BJD.
She is serving as a Member of the Consultative Committee for the Ministry of Civil Aviation. She is also a Member of the Committee on Empowerment of Women, along with being a Member of the Standing Committee on Home Affairs.
While serving as an Odisha Administrative Officer, she organised and attended different social activities for women, youth and especially children and also visited different villages and enlightened the people regarding different welfare policies/programmes of the Government.
Being a simple woman, she finds peace in reading books, writing and cooking.
