Sharad Yadav was a veteran Indian politician and a prominent socialist leader from the Rashtriya Janata Dal party. Rather than that, he was also an agriculturist, educationist and engineer by profession. He won the Lok Sabha elections seven times and the Rajya Sabha elections three times as a candidate of Janata Dal (United).
For the unversed, he was associated with JD (U) over the years. Yadav also served as the first national president of JD (U) since its formation in 2003 to 2016.
About personal life, Sharad Yadav was born on July 1, 1947, to Nand Kishore Yadav and Sumitra Yadav in Babai, Madhya Pradesh.
He was married to Rekha Yadav on February 15, 1989, and the duo has a son named Shantanu Bundela and a daughter named Subhashini Raja Rao.
Mr. Yadav passed away on January 12, 2023, at the age of 75 at his home in Delhi.
