Neelam Sonker, born on February 11, 1973, in Gorakhpur, is a dedicated and informed politician from Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh.

Known for her vocal advocacy, she has consistently addressed public concerns in the Parliament. In the 2014 Indian general elections, she contested as a Bharatiya Janata Party candidate from the Lalganj Seat of Uttar Pradesh and secured a position in the 16th Lok Sabha. Her party has once again nominated her to contest from the same constituency in the upcoming 2024 general election.

Sonker is actively involved in raising awareness for women's education and promoting gender equality. She organizes symposiums and initiatives to combat malnutrition among women and children.
