Nanabhau Falgunrao Patole Biography

Patole was the MP of Gondiya until 2016 when he decided to abandon BJP and tendered in his resignation from Lok Sabha in 2016. Patole was a stalwart member of Congress until he quit the party and decided to hang his hat in BJP's house in 2008. However, his defiance for what he perceived as the autocratic rule of Narendra Modi was apparent in his interviews which he later retracted. Patole stuck around with BJP for a spell but his unwitting participation in the 16th Lok Sabha elections created a rift between the party and him ensuing in severing ties with BJP and forming an alliance with the Congress.
