Nalin Kumar Kateel moved up the ranks of BJP by first finding success as the District general secretary of the party in the year 2004 and now is the sitting MP of Dakshin Kanna constituency. He's also an agriculturist and civil contractor by vocation. He's defeated former union minister Janardhan Poojary in his bid to win the seat in Dakshin Kannada constituency two consecutive times.
