Janardan Mishra, a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) member, emerged victorious in the 2019 general elections, securing a resounding mandate from the Rewa Lok Sabha constituency. His unwavering dedication to public service garnered him 383,320 votes, triumphing over his closest rival, Sunderlal Tiwari, who managed 214,594 votes.

Renowned for his unwavering commitment, Mishra has been nominated by the BJP for the third consecutive time to represent the same constituency in the upcoming 2024 general elections. Currently, he serves as the District President of the BJP while also fulfilling his duties as a Member of Parliament.
