Mohammed Shahnawaz Alam Biography

Shahnawaz‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ Alam, born on 10 September 1982 in Jokihat, Araria, Bihar, was a product of a prominent political family; his father was a famous leader, Mohammad Taslimuddin, and his brother is Sarfaraz Alam. He was a member of the RJD when he got elected, but later he decided to change to AIMIM (All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen) before the 2020 elections and was successful in getting re-elected as their candidate. In fact, he came back to the RJD in June 2022 and again became the family party’s loyal supporter.

He was given the responsibility of disaster management minister in Bihar in August 2022, and he devoted himself to tasks there that included upgrading the district administration and the state’s command control center, introducing new disaster mitigation plans, as well as assisting and rehabilitating the poorest people. He held the ministerial position until February ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌2024.
