MM Mani's full name is Mundakkakkal Madhavan Mani and he is popularly known as Maniyashan, is an active member of the Communist Party of India and a seasoned politician the state of Kerala. He has also worked as the minister of Electricity in Pinarayi Vijayan Cabinet from 2016 to 2021.

MM Mani's full name is Mundakkakkal Madhavan Mani and he is popularly known as Maniyashan, is an active member of the Communist Party of India and a seasoned politician the state of Kerala. He has also worked as the minister of Electricity in Pinarayi Vijayan Cabinet from 2016 to 2021.
MM Mani, currently a member of the CPM state secretariat, is the longest serving CPM secretary in a district in Kerala. Mani was first elected as the Idukki District Secretary in 1985 and was later elected to the post eight times.
MM Manik has been jailed for his controversial 'One, Two, Three, Four' speech in Manakattu which alleging that CPM killed opponents in Idukki. In the wake of these controversies, he was removed from the post of party district secretary in 2012 but Mani returned to office in 2013."
