Kamal Nath is an active Congress Party politician and the former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh. He is the former Minister of Urban Development. Kamal Nath is one of the longest-serving and senior members of Lok Sabha; the lower house of India's bicameral Parliament.
He is a leader of the Indian National Congress (INC) but might join the Bhartiya Janta Party soon. He was elected as the president of the Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee in May 2018 to lead the party in the assembly elections in 2018. Congress won 114 out of 230 seats under his leadership.

Kamal Nath today announced that if they get power will increase old age pension to 1,000/- per month.
The Madhya Pradesh Congress president previously also assured to bring back the old pension scheme or OPS and farm loan waiver.
