Smt. Anila Bhendia is one of the senior leaders of the Chhattisgarh Congress, who is currently an important part of the CM Bhupesh Baghel's team and is handling the Ministry of Women and Child Welfare. Growing up in Balod district, Smt. Anila started her political career in the Durg district of the state, about 58 km from her hometown. In her journey from being a member of the Zilla Panchayat to an MLA, she actively participated in many political works. At present, Anila is an MLA from the Chhattisgarh assembly constituency, Daundi-Lohara. In the 2018 assembly elections, she had registered a landslide victory with a vote percentage of 40.46.
