Lal Thanhawla is an Indian politician who is the former Chief Minister of Mizoram since 11 December 2008. Previously he was Chief Minister from 1984 to 1986 and from 1989 to 1998. He was founder President of-
(i) Mizoram Journalists
(ii) Mizoram Football Association involved in church activities
Now founder President of Mizoram Hockey Association and Mizoram Olympic Association, Chairman of North East Olympic Commission & Ex-officio, Vice President of Indian Olympic Association.
He Was involved in YMA, Student Movement etc.
