Satish Jarkiholi is an Indian politician, senior leader of the Indian National Congress, and a multiple-term Member of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly from the Yemakanmardi constituency.

Following the formation of the D. K. Shivakumar-led government on 3 June 2026, Jarkiholi was re-inducted into the Karnataka Cabinet, retaining his role as Minister for Public Works.

A prominent leader from Belagavi district, he has held key ministerial portfolios including Textiles, Excise, Forest, Environment, and Public Works. As of 2026, he remains a senior figure in both the state government and the party organization.

Satish Laxmanrao Jarkiholi was born on 1 June 1962 in Gokak, Belagavi district, Karnataka. He belongs to the influential Jarkiholi political family and is the brother of politicians Ramesh Jarkiholi and Balachandra Jarkiholi. Before entering politics, he was involved in agriculture, business, and educational activities in the region.

Jarkiholi began his political career through the Janata Dal and later the Janata Dal (Secular), serving as a Member of the Karnataka Legislative Council from the Belgaum Local Authorities Constituency. In 2006, he joined the Indian National Congress and subsequently emerged as one of the party's strongest leaders in North Karnataka.

He first entered the Karnataka Cabinet in the mid-2000s and later served as Minister for Excise in the Siddaramaiah government between 2013 and 2016. During the Congress–JD(S) coalition government led by H. D. Kumaraswamy, he held the Forest, Ecology, and Environment portfolio, further strengthening his position within state politics.

Since 2008, Jarkiholi has represented the Yemakanmardi Assembly constituency and has built a strong electoral record. He has also served as Working President of the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC), playing a key role in the party's organizational affairs and election campaigns.

Following the Congress government's return to power in 2023, he was appointed Minister for Public Works. After D. K. Shivakumar became Chief Minister on 3 June 2026, Jarkiholi was again inducted into the state cabinet, reaffirming his status as Minister for Public Works Portfolio.
