Prataprao Ganpatrao Jadhav, a prominent figure in Maharashtra politics, is an active member of the Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena. Currently serving as the incumbent MP of Buldhana, he has won four consecutive elections in this constituency. Prior to his parliamentary tenure, Jadhav served three terms as the Member of Legislative Assembly of Mehkar.

With a background in agriculture, Jadhav has also held ministerial positions in the Sena-Bharatiya Janata Party government, notably in the Ministry of Food Processing Industries.
