C N Ashwath Narayan is an Indian doctor-turned-politician who currently serves as MLA from Karnataka.
An MBBS graduate, Ashwath Narayan entrenched himself in politics by becoming the president of the students' union and the president of the Junior Doctors Association. He was subsequently appointed as a Senate and Syndicate member of Rajiv Gandhi University, and Health Sciences, and Bangalore University. He joined the BJP and contested in the 2004 Assembly elections albeit unsuccessfully. He was elected MLA of Malleshwaram in the 2008 Assembly elections. He was fielded as the BJP candidate to contest in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections from Bangalore Rural constituency. In the 2023 Assembly elections, Ashwath Narayan won against INC candidate Anoop Iyengar by securing 63.72 percent of votes from the Malleshwaram constituency.
