An agriculturist by profession, Chaudhari Mehboob Ali Kaiser is a Lok Sabha MP. He was first elected into Bihar Legislative Assembly in 1995 from Simri Bakhtiarpur constituency as a INC candidate. He lost the subsequent assembly elections. He was elected into the Parliament in 2014 from Khagaria as a LJP candidate, and re-elected in 2019 from the same constituency.
