Arjun Modhwadia belongs to the Indian National Congress party. He recently won the Gujarat assembly elections 2022 with 82,056 votes. He has also served as the president of Gujarat Pradesh Congress Committee; the role he had to cede following his defeat in 2012 assembly elections. Modhwadia previously also served as a member of legislative assembly from Porbandar constituency from 2002 to 2012.

Arjun Modhwadia was born on 17 February 1957 in Modhwada, Gujarat. His wife's name is Hiraben, who is a farmer and social worker by profession. The couple is blessed with a son and a daughter.
