Dr. Udit Raj is an Indian politician and the National Chairperson of the Unorganised Workers and Employees Congress (KKC). He is a former Member of Parliament and a former officer of the Indian Revenue Service. An alumnus of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), he currently serves as the National President of KKC and Parisangh, as well as the National Spokesperson for the Congress party.

Dr. Udit Raj Biography

Dr. Udit Raj was born to Kallan and Sukhdei in Ramnagar, Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh, on 1 January 1958. During his college days, he actively participated in socio-political activities. However, financial constraints forced him to shift his focus away from social work, leading him to prepare for the Civil Services Examination. He successfully cleared the exam in 1988 and joined the Indian Revenue Service.

On 23 February 2014, he merged his Indian Justice Party with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and was elected as a Member of Parliament on a BJP ticket. However, in 2019, after being denied a party ticket for the Lok Sabha elections, he joined the Indian National Congress and contested from North West Delhi.

Dr. Raj has held several important positions, including Chairperson of the All India Confederation of SC/ST Organisations since 1997, an umbrella organisation for various SC/ST employee associations, Chairperson of the Buddha Education Foundation and Chairperson of the Dalit International Foundation.

His commitment to the welfare of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and other deprived sections of society remains a significant focus of his work.

He enjoys music and is a member of several clubs, including Noida Golf Course, India International Centre, India Habitat Centre, and the Civil Services Officers Institute.
