T.R.V.S. Ramesh was born to Selvaraj and Susila in Panruti on 09th November 1970. He married Usha in 1994 and they have three daughters.
He was elected to the 17th Lok Sabha as a candidate from the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam from the Cuddalore constituency in Tamil Nadu in the 2019 general elections.
Currently, he is serving as a Member of the Consultative Committee for the Ministry of Shipping. Additionally, he has been appointed as a Member of the Standing Committee on Industry since May 2019.
