Sushma Swaraj was one of the firebrand leaders of Bhartiya Janta Party. A former supreme court lawyer, Sushma Swaraj served as the Minister of External Affairs of India from May 2014 to May 2019. She had been elected seven times as a Member of Parliament and three times as a Member of the Legislative Assembly. She served as the MP of Vidisha in Madhya Pradesh. She also served as 5th Chief Minister of Delhi from 13 October 1998. In fact, she was elected as first woman Chief Minister of Delhi. She is associated with many social and cultural bodies in various capacities. Sushma Swaraj passed away on 6th August 2019 after cardiac arrest.

Also attended (i) SAARC Telecommunication Minister`s Conference, Dhaka; (ii) SAARC I&B Minister`s Conference, Islamabad and (iii) SAARC Telecommunications Ministers` Conference, Colombo. Her husband holds the distinction of being the youngest Governor in India and Adjudged as the 'Distinguished Couple' in the Limca Book of Records.
