Siddu Savadi was born on 20 January 1977 in Karnataka and grew up in Athani taluk in Belagavi district. He completed his early education locally and became actively involved in student and youth politics, which laid the foundation for his future career in public service.
He began his formal political career with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and became involved in grassroots organisational work in his home region of Athani. His engagement at the local level helped him strengthen the party base and connect with constituents on issues related to rural development and public welfare.
In the 2013 Karnataka Assembly election, Savadi contested from the Athani constituency and was elected as a Member of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly. This marked his first major electoral victory and entry into legislative politics.
During his tenure as an MLA, he took part in Assembly proceedings and worked on local development initiatives for his constituency. In 2023, he was inducted into the Karnataka state cabinet as a minister, handling key portfolios that included Women and Child Development and Disabled & Senior Citizens Welfare. His ministerial responsibilities expanded his role from purely legislative representation to executive governance.
Since his appointment to the cabinet, Savadi has balanced his legislative duties with administrative responsibilities. As of 2026, he continues to serve as an elected MLA from Athani and remains an active member of the BJP, involved in both governance and organisational activities in Karnataka.
