Ravi Sitaram Naik (1946–2025) was a prominent Indian politician from Goa, who held the office of Chief Minister as the 4th one and was a member of the Goa Legislative Assembly for a very long period. Besides representing Ponda constituency, Naik took charge of a number of departments such as Agriculture, Home, and Finance.

He started his political career with the Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party, then shifted to the Indian National Congress and later to the Bharatiya Janata Party. Naik was a Member of Parliament for North Goa (1998–1999) and a Deputy Chief Minister for a brief period.

He died on October 14, 2025, at 79, after a cardiac arrest.

Ravi Sitaram Naik (1946-2025) was a seasoned Indian politician from Goa whose political journey lasted over many years. He was the 4th Chief Minister of Goa, besides being the Deputy Chief Minister, Cabinet Minister for Agriculture, Home and Finance, and Member of the Goa Legislative Assembly representing the Ponda constituency.

Naik was a politician of the MGP party before he switched to the Indian National Congress and later to the BJP. Also, he was a Member of Parliament from North Goa from 1998 to 1999.

Among other things, Naik was applauded for being a public servant who sincerely and wholeheartedly devoted himself to the community. He took up the various pressing needs of the people in the areas of infrastructure, agricultural practices, and welfare schemes. His administration talents, the way he handled the coalition, and his zeal for Goa’s economic and social progress earned him wide recognition.

He died on the 14th of October, 2025, due to cardiac arrest at the age of 79.
