Ravi Chandra Vaddiraju

Ravi Chandra Vaddiraju was born on March 22, 1964, in Inugurthy, District Mahabhubabad in Telangana, to Narayana Vaddiraju and Venkatanarsamma.

Throughout his life, Ravi has been deeply involved in various endeavours, displaying a keen commitment to both sports and business. He serves as the National President of the Suman Shotokan Karate Sports Academy (KAI) and holds the prestigious position of President of the Khammam District Judo Association.

In the realm of commerce, Ravi is leading a granite export business at both national and international levels. He is the Chief Promoter of the Gayatri Group and serves as the Managing Director of Gayatri Granites.

Ravi's ethos is centred on the principle of 'service to humanity'. He has undertaken numerous philanthropic initiatives, contributing significantly to the development of his native village, Inugurthy. His contributions include the construction of schools, temples, roads, and the provision of clean drinking water and electricity to the community. Notably, he dedicated substantial funds to the enhancement of the Medaram Kumbh Mela festival of Sammakka Sarakka in 2016 and 2018. Ravi's generosity extends to various religious and social institutions, including marriage halls, temples, churches, mosques, and shrines. Additionally, he has supported organisations aiding children suffering from thalassemia and organised blood donation camps, fostering a culture of altruism among his followers.

In the realm of national initiatives, Ravi played a pivotal role in the construction of the 30-foot-tall National Police Memorial in Delhi, inaugurated by the Prime Minister in October 2018.

Transitioning into politics, Ravi embarked on a new journey in 2018 as a Congress party candidate from the Warangal East Assembly Constituency. Subsequently, he joined the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (T.R.S.) in 2019. In recognition of his exemplary contributions, Ravi was elected to the Rajya Sabha in May 2022.

In his personal life, he tied the knot with Vaddiraju Vijayalakshmi and they have been blessed with two children. His net worth stands at Rs 42,60,55,714.
