Patnam Mahender Reddy is an active politician from Telangana. He belongs to Telangana Rashtra Samiti. He is a Veterinarian doctor and the first transport minister of Telangana state. He was the Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Tandur, Telangana. He completed his bachelor's degree in Veterinary Sciences (BVSc) from Osmania University. He is the nephew of former Home Minister and MLA, P. Indra Reddy. His brother Narender Reddy is an MLC.
