After having proven his worth in the field of Art and sculpture Pasunoori Dayakar stepped into politics holding the flag of Telangana Rashtra Samithi and registered his record win from Warangal. Dayakar He is an active politician from Telangana. He was elected to the Lok Sabha from Warangal constituency in a bye election held in 2015. He did his bachelor of fine arts from JNTU, Hyderabad. His most famous work is the design of Telangana Talli idol. In fact, that was the only reason for chief K Chandrashekar Rao to be impressed by him. Rao invited him to join TRS. After joining TRS he took part in the separate Telangana movement and worked in the party in various capacities. Though he did not get tickets to contest assembly elections in 2009 and 2014, he did not mind and remained loyal to KCR.
