Ch Malla Reddy was born on 12 September 1953 in Telangana. Before entering active politics, he built a career as an entrepreneur and educationist, founding several educational institutions under the Malla Reddy Group of Institutions, which operate colleges and professional institutes in the Hyderabad region.
He initially entered national politics through the Telugu Desam Party and contested parliamentary elections. In the 2014 Indian general election, he was elected as a Member of Parliament in the Lok Sabha from the Malkajgiri Lok Sabha constituency, marking his entry into the national legislature.
In 2016, he joined the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (formerly Telangana Rashtra Samithi). His political career shifted to state-level politics when he contested the 2018 Telangana Legislative Assembly election and was elected as an MLA from the Medchal Assembly constituency.
Following his election to the Assembly, Malla Reddy served as Minister for Labour and Employment, Factories, and Skill Development in the Telangana government led by K. Chandrashekar Rao. During this period, he was involved in labour administration and employment-related initiatives in the state. In the 2023 Telangana Legislative Assembly election, he was re-elected from the Medchal constituency, continuing his legislative career.
As of 2026, Ch Malla Reddy remains an active political leader and legislator in Telangana.
