Balka Suman was born on 18 October 1983 in Regunta village, Karimnagar district (now in Telangana). He completed his early education locally and went on to graduate with a B.A. in English from Government Degree College, Korutla. Later, he pursued higher studies at Osmania University, including postgraduate work and research.
He entered active politics in 2001 by joining the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (now BRS). As a young party member, he played a key role in student politics at Osmania University, serving as campus and then state president of the party’s student wing. During the 2009–2014 period, he was involved in the political movement for the creation of the state of Telangana.
In the 2014 Indian general election, Balka Suman contested the Peddapalli Lok Sabha constituency as a TRS candidate and was elected to the 16th Lok Sabha, serving as a Member of Parliament. His tenure in the Lok Sabha involved participation in national legislative discussions and constituency representation at the parliamentary level.
Following his term in Parliament, he transitioned to state politics and contested the 2018 Telangana Legislative Assembly election from the Chennur (SC) constituency, where he was elected as an MLA. During his tenure in the state legislature from 2018 to 2023, he engaged in Assembly proceedings, addressing regional issues and constituency development priorities.
In the 2023 Telangana Assembly elections, Balka Suman contested again from Chennur but was defeated by his opponent. After this, he continued to remain active within his party and in public life.
As of 2026, he continues to be engaged in politics, especially around regional civic issues and party activities in Telangana.
