He earlier also served from the same constituency for a short span of time from 2011 to 2012. The politician belongs to the Bharatiya Janata Party. In 2005, Lakhvinder ji switched to INC party but later he again shifted to the Saffron party in 2022. Lakhvinder Singh Rana was born on June 13, 1968, in Nalagarh, Himachal Pradesh to Lachman Singh Rana. He pursued B.A degree from the H.P. University Shimla in the year 1988. Lakhvinder ji is married to Sunita Rana, who is a Govt. Teacher by profession. They are blessed with two children.
