Jagdeep Dhankhar is the 14th Vice President of India, who got elected on 6th August, 2022. Previously, Dhankhar served as the Governor of West Bengal.
He was born on 18 May 1951 in Rajasthan to Shri Ch. Gokal Chand and Smt. Kesari Devi. He completed his primary education in Kithana Village School and then from Sainik School, Chittorgarh. Later, he did graduation from the University of Rajasthan, Jaipur.
On 30 July 2019, Dhankhar was appointed as Governor of West Bengal by the Indian President Ram Nath Kovind. Interestingly, he won the 2022 election as Vice-President with 72.8% votes and recorded a poll-victory margin highest since the 1992 election.

The Rajya Sabha Chairman also narrated the nation as the mother of Democracy and explained how securing its welfare.
