Gautam Gambhir is a Prominent Indian cricketer, who galvanized his stature amongst the greatest sportsman this country had ever witnessed. He began his career in 2003 in a one day International against Bangladesh. He led the team as a captain in six ODI’s between 2010-2011, during which the team was unthwarted, also winning the World Cup in 2011. He took a sabbatical for a brief time and was back playing for IPL, where he captained Kolkata Knight Riders and Delhi Dare Devils. He was deemed the second-highest scorer during the inaugural matches of IPL. After a prolific career, he announced his retirement in 2018. On 22nd March 2019, he joined the BJP. He was inducted into the party by Union Minister Arun Jaitley.
