Dr. Anil Jain

Dr. Anil Jain was born to Kunwar Sain Agrawal and Ram Sumarni Jain in Firozabad on 25th February 1960.

He was elected to the Rajya Sabha in 2018 from Uttar Pradesh as a Bharatiya Janata Party member. He serves as a Member of the Committee of Privileges.

With a rich history of service and leadership, he has embarked on a journey defined by dedication and commitment. Beginning with active participation in collegiate activities at King George’s Medical College, Lucknow, he has always strived for excellence in both academics and extracurricular engagements.

Holding esteemed positions such as President of Bharat Scouts and Guides and Vice-President of both the All India Tennis Association and Bhao Rao Devras Sewa Nyas, Lucknow, he has continued to contribute to various sectors.

Additionally, his commitment to philanthropy is evident through his patronage of Sewalaya, New Delhi. Currently, as a Senior Consultant and Surgeon at Indraprastha Apollo Hospital, New Delhi, he remains dedicated to providing exemplary healthcare services while continuing to lead and serve in various capacities.

During the years 1991-1993, he dedicated himself to serving the people in tribal areas of Bihar (now Jharkhand), where he worked tirelessly to improve healthcare access and outcomes for marginalised communities.

Apart from social work, he Engages in a diverse range of interests including lawn tennis, cricket, theatre, reading, psephology, as well as yoga and meditation.
