B. L. Santhosh

Bommarabettu Laxmijanardhana Santhosh, known as B L Santhosh, is affiliated with the Bharatiya Janata Party. He is the National General Secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party.

An engineering graduate, Santhosh started his political journey as a Pracharak of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh in 1993 and rendered his service in Udupi, Shimoga, Mysuru, and Bangalore areas. In 2006, he was moved to the Bharatiya Janta Party and made the General Secretary of the BJP state unit. His organizational skills came in handy when the BJP saw its first government in a southern state in 2008.

He was made the Joint National General Secretary of the BJP in 2014. He got elevated to the rank of National General Secretary, Organization in 2019.

In 2014, he was appointed the Joint National General Secretary of the BJP and was in charge of the party affairs in several states, especially the southern part of India.

Later, in July 2019, he was promoted to the post of National General Secretary (Organisation), making him the BJP's main point of contact with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). Since then, he has had a major influence on the organizational strategy, cadre management, leadership selection, and election planning in various states.

His influence in Karnataka and the other southern states has enabled him to turn the party's growth in these areas through his wise counsel. Santhosh continued restructuring the BJP’s organisation by 2025, as he had just set up election committees in Tamil Nadu to get the party off to a good start for the Assembly elections in 2026.
