• 2020 - Incumbent: He was sworn in as the Public Works Department and Rural Industries Minister in the MP government on July 2, 2020.
• 2013 - 2018: Shri Gopal Bhargava was re-elected to Vidhan Sabha from the Rahli constituency. He took oath as Cabinet Minister.
• 2008 : He was elected consecutively for the 6th time to Vidhan Sabha and inducted as Minister in Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan's Council of Ministers.
