Vijay Ramniklal Rupani is an Indian politician from the Bharatiya Janata Party. He is a member of the Gujarat Legislative Assembly representing Rajkot West and also held the position of Chief Minister of Gujarat since 7 August 2016 to 11 September 2021. Rupani was born in Rangoon, Burma. His family moved to Rajkot in 1960. He completed his Bachelor of Arts from Dharmendrasinhji Arts College and LLB from Saurashtra University. During his final years of studies, he joined ABVP and then RSS and Jansangh simultaneously.
