Kailash Vijayvargiya is a politician of Indian origin who was born on 3 January 1956 to the family of Indore, Madhya Pradesh. His political journey commenced with the role of a student leader, and later on, he got connected to the student and youth wings of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Because he was a great organizer and turned the election to his advantage, he moved fast and got the highest position in the party, gaining a stronghold in the western part of Madhya Pradesh.

Vijayvargiya's entry into the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly in 1985 from the Indore West constituency marked the beginning of his legislative career. He was again elected in 1990 and 1993, as a result made him stay longer as a state legislator. Also, he was heavily involved in party organisation and election management.

He made his first step into national politics in 1996 and got elected to the Lok Sabha as the representative of Indore. After that, he was a Rajya Sabha MP, and thus his parliamentary experience grew.

Vijayvargiya has been the man behind the scenes in the BJP, such as the time when he was General Secretary (Organisation) of the party and was the one behind election strategies and mobilizing the party in several states. He has been working in the senior management of the BJP at both the state and national levels.

Vijayvargiya has been an organizer, specialized but still active, in case the cabinet reshuffle of the government of India took place in the case of being appointed as Minister of State in the Union Government.

He got back to state politics in Madhya Pradesh in 2020, winning the Indore-3 Assembly seat and thus continuing his legislative work. As of 2026, Kailash Vijayvargiya is still a major BJP leader who has divided his time between the party's organization and public issues.
