B.Y.Raghavendra Biography

Son of former Chief Minister of Karnataka B. S. Yeddyurappa, B. Y Raghavendra first contested as a newbie in the 15th Lok Sabha elections from Shimoga constituency where he defeated former Chief Minister of Karnataka Sarekoppa Bangarappa in 2009. In 2018 bye-polls he won the Shimoga constituency that was inhabited by his father B.S Yeddyurappa who won the 2014 Lok Sabha elections. He secured 4,89959 votes and defeated daughter of S. Bangarappa, Madhu Bangarappa. BY Raghavendra obtained a Bachelor�s degree in Business Management from ATNCC College in Shivamogga. After graduating from college, Raghavendra became involved in local politics.
