Dr Prabhuram Choudhary

Prabhuram Choudhary made his first entry into electoral politics in 2003 when he was elected as a Member of the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly from Kalapipal. Later on, in 2008, he was re-elected, thereby consolidating his status as a top leader of the BJP in Shajapur district.

He again won the Assembly election from Kalapipal in 2013, thus getting a mandate for the fourth time consecutively. Alongside his legislative work, he was also entrusted with a portfolio as a Minister of State in the Madhya Pradesh Government, where he co, managed Cooperative and Public Relations departments and actively participated in the daily running and public connection side of the government.

Choudhary moved to federal politics in 2019, when the people of Sagar elected him as their Member of the Lok Sabha. He was handed a Ministry in the Union Government as well, being appointed Minister of State for Jal Shakti, where he engaged in water resource, related initiatives and programmes.

His decision to go back to state politics paid off, as he managed to win the seat for the Kalapipal constituency in the 2023 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections.

As of 2025, Prabhuram Choudhary continues to be the incumbent MLA, participates in legislative proceedings, and is a Bharatiya Janata Party organisational and policy work in Madhya Pradesh committee member.
