Veena Devi

Veena Devi (born 22 April 1967) is a Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), Bihar-based Indian politician. Since 2019, she has been the MP for Vaishali. Before her time in Parliament, she was chosen as an MLA of Gaighat, Bihar Legislative Assembly in 2010.

Veena Devi is the wife of Dinesh Prasad Singh, an MLC from Muzaffarpur.

Veena Devi (born 22 April 1967) is a local politician from Bihar. She represents the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas). Initially, she got into politics through the Bihar Legislative Assembly, where she was the MLA of Gaighat constituency for a tenure of 5 years, from 2010 to 2015. She made her entry into active politics at the Bihar Legislative Assembly level.

She got elected to Parliament from Vaishali in 2019, and this event marked a great leap in her political career. As an MP, she was involved in the areas of women’s welfare, education, and agricultural development. She was known for her hard-hitting stance and strong mass connect. She focused thoroughly on the upgradation of roads and health in her area.

Veena Devi is still a prominent face in Bihar politics in the year 2025. She is under the LJP (Ram Vilas) faction led by Chirag Paswan. Her sway over politics is also through her matrimonial alliance with Dinesh Prasad Singh, a senior MLC from Muzaffarpur, with whom she forms a power couple in Bihar’s political landscape.
