Sribharat Mathukumilli is the President of GITAM Deemed University, the founder of the Kautilya School of Public Policy, and a Lok Sabha MP representing Visakhapatnam.
As the founder of the Kautilya School of Public Policy in Hyderabad, Sribharat Mathukumilli has established a premier institution modelled after Ivy League public policy schools, aimed at nurturing future public leaders in India.
He holds various positions in organisations in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. He serves as a board trustee at the Basavatarakam Indo-American Cancer Hospital & Research Institute in Hyderabad. Additionally, he is a board member of TiE Andhra Pradesh, serving as the Board Retreat Chair and former chapter President of the Entrepreneurs' Organisation Andhra Pradesh. Furthermore, he is an investor and advisor to a select group of promising startups.
Before his involvement with GITAM, Mathukumilli established a 3.5 MW solar power plant and led his family business's entry into solar power generation upon his return to India from Stanford in 2016. He also worked on establishing a hydro-energy power plant in Odisha.
