Kesineni Srinivas was born on 22 January 1965 in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. Before entering politics, he established himself as a successful entrepreneur and transport businessman, notably through the operations of Kesineni Travels, which became a prominent inter-state bus service company in South India.

His entry into electoral politics came through the Telugu Desam Party, where he gained recognition as a strong candidate from Vijayawada. In the 2014 Indian general election, he contested from the Vijayawada parliamentary constituency and secured victory, marking the beginning of his parliamentary career.

Srinivas was re-elected in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, continuing to represent Vijayawada in Parliament. During his tenure, he participated in parliamentary proceedings and constituency-related initiatives, focusing on urban infrastructure and regional development matters in Andhra Pradesh.
