Shivaraj Tangadagi

Shivaraj​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌ Tangadagi is a veteran Congress leader of Koppal district and has been a major factor in Karnataka politics for a long time. With his victory in the Kushtagi constituency, he made his way into the Karnataka Legislative Assembly, marking his footprint as a political figure of the region.

During his several terms as an MLA, Tangadagi enlarged his influence in the Congress party by doing good work in the constituency and actively participating in the legislature. His political repeatability was a reflection of the support he got from the voters of Kushtagi and their acknowledgment of his role in the local administration and interaction with the people.

After the Congress government was formed in Karnataka in 2023, he was taken into the state Cabinet. As Minister for Backward Classes Welfare, he was given the responsibility of executing the policy and welfare programmes destined for the backward and marginalized communities all over the state.

As of 2025, Shivaraj Tangadagi will still be holding the office of a Cabinet Minister and MLA. He is deeply engaged in legislative talks, administrative decision-making, and Congress party operations at the state ​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌level.
