Kunduru Jana Reddy Biography

Kunduru Jana Reddy started his political journey in student politics and subsequently joined the Congress party at the grassroots level. It took him years to create a support group that was unshakeable in the Nalgonda area, and that was able to rise up and become a party leader who was trusted and powerful.

He was a winner in the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly elections several times, which resulted in him being thought of as a good legislator and a strong regional development supporter. His presence in the electoral arena made him one of the most senior Congress leaders in the erstwhile Andhra Pradesh.

After the birth of Telangana in 2014, Reddy continued his legislative journey in the newly formed state. He was instrumental in reorganizing the Congress party during its darkest hours when regional parties ruled the roost.

He contested and won the same Nalgonda constituency in 2018 and then held the position of the Leader of the Opposition in the Telangana Legislative Assembly, where he was mainly concerned with governance, public responsibility, and legislative discussions.

Jana Reddy has always been there when he was not at the front leading the pack, and he has been helping the party with his advice and with the training of the future Congress leaders.

For the year 2025, Kunduru Jana Reddy is still an acclaimed senior Congress leader in Telangana whose rich legacy of legislative service and organizational capability underlie his presence.
