Smt Varsha Gaikwad Biography

Varsha gaikwad born to the eminent politician of Maharastra Eknath giakwad is an active member of Indian National Congress. She holds master in maths and also holds a bachelor in Education. She made her way into the active politics by contesting in 2004 Maharastra State Assembly election and elected from Dharavi constituency. She repeated her victory again in 2009 and held ministry of State for Higher and technical Education,Medical Education. she has also worked for Pratham Sanstha and Sneha Sanstha organization. From 2010 to 2014 she served as minister of women and child welfare. Internally,she also served as Senior Vice President, Mumbai Regional Congress Committee. In 2014 also she was elected to Maharastra assembly from Dharavi constitution.
