Shiv Mangal Singh Tomar

Shiv Mangal Singh Tomar is a seasoned politician hailing from Madhya Pradesh, known for his affiliations with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). His political journey has been marked by successive attempts to represent the people of the Dimani Assembly constituency.

Tomar's electoral saga began in 2008 when he contested the Dimani Assembly seat under the BJP banner. Despite a closely fought battle, he faced a narrow defeat at the hands of BSP candidate Ravindra Singh, losing by a margin of merely 256 votes.

Undeterred by his initial setback, Tomar persisted in his political endeavours. In the subsequent 2013 elections, he once again vied for the Dimani seat. However, fortune did not favour him as he finished third, trailing behind both BSP and Congress candidates.

In a testament to his party's confidence in him, Tomar was fielded for the Dimani Assembly seat yet again in 2018. However, luck continued to elude him as he suffered a significant defeat, this time at the hands of Girraj Dandotiya of the Congress, losing by a substantial margin of over 18,000 votes.

Despite facing setbacks in the electoral arena, Tomar's dedication to public service and commitment to his party's ideals have not wavered. In a strategic move, the ruling party has chosen to nominate him once more, this time to contest the upcoming 2024 general elections from the Morena Lok Sabha constituency, showcasing their continued trust in his capabilities and leadership.
