Sharath Kumar Bache Gowda is an Indian politician, who serves as MLA representing Hosakote, Karnataka. He won the by-election as an independent candidate by defeating BJP’s M T B Nagaraj in 2019. Later, he re-elected in the 2023 assembly election by defeating BJP candidate M.T.B. Nagraj from the same constituency. Mr. Sharath is associated with the Indian National Congress party.
Before joining the aforementioned party, he was also a part of the Bharatiya Janata Party from 2014 to 2019. Another side, he is the son of senior BJP Leader and Chikballapur Lok Sabha MP, B. N. Bache Gowda.

Sharath Kumar was born on December 2, 1981, in Bengaluru. He pursued Mechanical Engineering from the PES Technical College, Bangalore and M.S. degree from the USA country. He is married to Prathibha Sharath, who is involved with social servicing.
