Shafi Parambil

Shafi Parambil is notable politician among Congress youth leaders.He currently represents Palakkad constituency.Shafi, who is also the state president of the Youth Congress, is active in politics through KSU. During his college years he was the unit office bearer of the KSU and the general secretary of the college union. He was elected KSU State General Secretary in 2007 and then State President in 2009.

Shafi Parambil, who was elected to the Assembly from Palakkad in 2011 and 2016 consecutively, won both the elections by a large majority.In 2011, Shafi won 7,403 votes over his opponent KK Divakaran.Shafi, who bagged 57559 votes in 2016, won with a majority of 17483 votes. He defeated NN Krishnadas,LDF candidate. He was elected General Secretary of the Indian Youth Congress in 2017 but resigned in 2018. Shafi Parampil is currently the state president of the Youth Congress.
