The founder of Pattali Makkal Katchi PMK Dr. Ramadoss has made significant strides elevating the party as a power player in Tamil Nadu's political stratosphere. Under his stewardship, PMK was able to obtain considerable power in the state of Tamil Nadu. He was also the founder of Vanniyar Sangam, that propagated the best interests of Vanniyar cast. He started out as a doctor in Tindivanam. Soon he quit his job and set up small clinics to serve the poor.
