Praveen Kumar Nishad Biography

Praveen Kumar Nishad, born on October 1st, 1988, in Gorakhpur, is the son of Dr. Sanjay Kumar Nishad and Malti Devi, the founder of the NISHAD Party. He obtained his engineering degree from Gautam Buddh Technical University, Lucknow.

Currently, he represents the Sant Kabir Nagar constituency in the Lok Sabha, the lower house of the Indian Parliament. Initially elected to the 16th Lok Sabha from Gorakhpur in a bye-election, he filled the vacancy left by Yogi Adityanath when he resigned to become the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh.

Praveen Kumar Nishad's notable focus lies in serving the fishermen community. On a personal note, he is married to Reetika Sahani and has been blessed with two children.
