Manoj Kumar Pandey

Manoj Kumar Pandey was born on 30 June 1967 in Uttar Pradesh. He pursued higher education and later entered public life, gradually building his political career through grassroots engagement and electoral participation.

He became associated with the Samajwadi Party and emerged as a strong regional leader in central Uttar Pradesh. His political growth was marked by consistent electoral success from the Unchahar constituency, where he established a stable voter base.

In 2012, he was elected as MLA from Unchahar and was inducted into the cabinet led by Akhilesh Yadav. During his tenure from 2012 to 2017, he handled ministerial responsibilities and gained administrative experience in governance.

He was re-elected in 2017 and again in 2022, continuing his legislative career and maintaining his influence in the region. Over time, he also played key roles within the Samajwadi Party’s legislative structure.

In 2024-2025, his political trajectory shifted significantly. After supporting the BJP during Rajya Sabha elections, he was expelled from the Samajwadi Party on 23 June 2025 and subsequently joined the Bharatiya Janata Party, marking a major realignment in his career.

As of 2026, he continues to be active in Uttar Pradesh politics, maintaining his influence while actively engaging in legislative responsibilities, constituency development, party activities, regional political affairs, and broader public life.
