Kartikeya Sharma came to this world on 14 May 1981 and is the son of a well-known politician, Venod Sharma, and Shakti Rani Sharma. After graduating in business administration from King's College London, he went on to start ITV Media in 2007, thus making his debut in the media industry. Gradually, his media empire took off and spread into the field of news channels (India News, NewsX) and print outlets (The Sunday Guardian, Aaj Samaj).
In June 2022, Sharma won the Rajya Sabha seat from Haryana on a BJP ticket, thus defeating the well-known Congress leader Ajay Maken by a good margin. As a member of parliament, he has brought in such futuristic legislative ideas as the introduction of a "National Council for Future Affairs" to harmonize technology and innovation strategy.
Sharma's moving up the ladder story is a mix of business triumph, media dominance, and political aspiration, thereby making him a potential power both in and outside his party.
