Jai Ram Thakur is the 13th and current Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh since 2017. He has also been serving as MLA in Himachal Pradesh Assembly since 1998. The politician was also inducted into the Cabinet Minister position in the BJP Government of Himachal Pradesh.
He was suspended by the Himachal Pradesh assembly speaker, Kuldeep Singh Pathania for misbehaviour and shouting slogans in the House.
Jai Ram was born on January 6, 1965, at Tandi Village, Mandi to Jethu Ram and Briku Devi. Regarding education, he began his primary education at Kurani School and then completed a B.A. degree from the Vallabh Govt. Degree College in 1987. Thereafter, Mr. Thakur also obtained a M.A. degree from the Punjab University. Jai Ram Thakur is married to Doctor Sadhana Thakur, and they have two daughters named Chandrika Thakur and Priyanka Thakur.
